FAQ

Q: What do the data color markers in Report mean? How can I adjust these color patterns?
A: The color markers in Report are a data visualization way to visually display how the data is sorted in that column. XMP provides four different color scale modes that can be selected according to your preference.
The four color scale modes are described (from high to low values):
  1. No Color Scale Mode: No color scale is displayed in the table.
  2. Green only mode: Dark green → Light green → White
  3. Red only mode: White → Light red → Dark red
  4. Full color mode (default): Dark green → Light green → White → Light red → Dark red
In all modes with color:
  • Dark green represents the highest value
  • Dark red represents the lowest value
For example, if you sort by "spend" from highest to lowest:
  • The rows with the highest cost would be dark green.
  • As the cost decreases, the color changes gradually
  • The row with the lowest cost will be shown as dark red (in full color mode or red only mode)
How to toggle the color scale mode:
  1. Find and click the "More" button in the Report.
  2. Select the color gradient mode you want from the pop-up options.
Tip: You can try different color gradient modes to choose the one that best suits your data analysis needs.
