Tag Management

On the Tag Library page, you can categorize and efficiently manage your tag system using folders and multi-level tags.

1.Create a New Folder

Click "New Folder" to the right of the search bar to create a dedicated folder for your tag system. Generally, if the objects being tagged belong to different dimensional levels, such as tagging a campaign as "High ROI Performance" and an creative as "Battle Scenes", it is recommended to place tags of different dimensional levels into separate folders for easier management.

2.Add a New Tag

(1) Manual Creation

After creating a folder, click "Add Tag" on the right side of the folder.

In the "Add Tag" window, you can create a primary tag and multiple secondary tags. For example, a primary tag "creative Style" with secondary tags "Battle Scenes" and "Original Characters".

The "Tag Object" option specifies whether you want to apply the tag to creatives or ad levels (e.g. campaigns), which will affect the data aggregation in the tag report.

The "Description", "Remark 1", and "Remark 2" for the tag can be used for intelligent tagging. When the tagged object (such as an creative name) contains the tag name, description, or remarks, the tag will be automatically applied.

(2) Bulk Import via Excel

If you want to create all tags at once, click "Excel Import" to the right of the search bar.

In the Excel Import Tag pop-up window, download the template file, enter the new tag information in the Excel sheet, and then upload it.

Set the Tag Attributes

In the pop-up window, configure the target Tag Folder and the Tag Object to apply.

  1. Newly imported primary tags will be placed in the selected folder and assigned to the chosen Tag Object.

  2. Existing hierarchical tags that are already in the target folder will be updated to the selected Tag Object after import.

  3. Existing hierarchical tags that are not in the target folder will not be imported.

3.Tag Management

After creating tags, you can edit/delete existing tags or continue to create new tags via Tags session.

Batch Tagging

In the XMP Library or Promotion page, select "Bulk Operation --> Edit Tag".

1.Select the tag category you want to apply, such as "Leisure".

2.When selecting "Smart" as the setting type. XMP will automatically apply tags based on your matching rules. For example, if the rule is to apply the "Battle Scenes" tag when the creative name contains the tag name, then a creative with the name "Casual Game-Original-Battle Scenes-20240715" will be automatically tagged.

3.If the creative is not recognized by the rules, you can manually select the tag in the tag column of the table.

Tag Report

When creating a new report, select "Tag Report" as the report type, then choose the tag category you want to view. The report will aggregate data based on the tag object level selected when creating the tags. For example, if the tag object was set to "Facebook-Creative", the report will aggregate Facebook channel creative data and show the data for each tag under the selected tag category.

By clicking the icon in front of a tag, you can further view the data for a combination of multiple tags.
