I. Tool Overview
The Meta Opportunity Score is a real-time metric that measures the optimization level of an ad account, campaign, or ad set, with a score ranging from 0 to 100. This score reflects the degree to which your settings align with Meta's Best Practices.
- Core Logic: The higher the score, the more optimization recommendations you have adopted—and the greater the growth potential the ad system attributes to the account.
II. How to View Opportunity Scores
You can find this metric within XMP Promotion by following these steps:
1.Promotion > Mate > Ad Account Level

2. Display Indicators: In the "Custom Columns" section, check "Opportunity Score" and "Opportunity Score Recommendation."

3. View Details: Click the blue text "** Suggestions" to expand and view the specific list of optimization recommendations and their estimated score improvements.
- Score Ranges and Meanings
- 90–100 (Excellent): The account is highly optimized, fully leveraging Meta’s automation tools and best practices.
- 60–89 (Good): Performance is stable, though there remains room for optimization—for instance, regarding audience overlap or a lack of creative diversity.
- 30–59 (Moderate): There are significant inefficiencies present, potentially stemming from overly narrow targeting or incomplete conversion tracking.
- 0–29 (Needs Improvement): Immediate adjustments are recommended; issues typically involve technical errors or settings that severely contradict algorithmic logic, thereby hindering machine learning.

- Key Optimization Actions (How to Boost Your Score)
Your Opportunity Score is primarily improved by adopting recommendations across the following seven key categories:
- Automation Tools: Enable Advantage+ features (e.g., Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns, Advantage+ Placements).
- Goals & Results: Optimize performance goals to ensure alignment with your business outcomes.
- Audiences: Address issues of audience fragmentation or overlap by merging similar ad sets.
- Creatives & Placements: Increase creative diversity or enable Advantage+ Creative Optimization.
- Signal Quality: Ensure that your Meta Pixel or Conversions API (CAPI) is correctly configured and transmitting high-quality data.
- Budget & Bidding: Adjust your budget based on system recommendations or experiment with more competitive bidding strategies.
- Learning Phase Optimization: Minimize frequent changes to your ad sets to help them exit the "learning phase" more quickly.

4. Switch Accounts: Expand the drop-down menu to switch between different ad accounts and view Opportunity Score details.

5. Usage Tip: To perform specific actions, click the blue text "View on Meta" to navigate to the corresponding media page.
- Operational Procedures and Recommended Actions (Performed within the Meta Backend; Not via XMP)
A. Applying Recommendations
- From the "Opportunity Score" dropdown menu, click "Apply" next to a specific recommendation.
- The system will automatically adjust your settings based on the recommendation, and your score will increase immediately.
B. Declining Recommendations
- If you determine that a specific recommendation does not align with your current marketing strategy (for example, if the system suggests merging audiences, but you need to test creative assets against different audience segments), you may click the "X" in the top-right corner of the recommendation card, or select "Decline" / "Ignore."
- Note: Declining a recommendation typically does not result in an immediate score increase—unlike applying one—but it will move that recommendation to the "Resolved" list.

III. Important Considerations
- Score ≠ Results: A perfect score of 100 does not guarantee an increase in your ROAS (Return on Ad Spend). It reflects "configuration compliance" rather than "ultimate business outcomes."
- Contextual Application: Do not blindly implement every recommendation solely to achieve a perfect score. You must align your actions with your specific business objectives, prioritizing recommendations that promise tangible business improvements (such as signal quality and audience optimization).
- Regular Monitoring: It is recommended that you check your score at least once a week—particularly when launching new campaigns or during major promotional periods—as shifts in the market environment may reveal new opportunities for optimization.
