Targeting

This article introduces you to how to set up a huge number of engine targeting packages. It includes creating, editing, copying, and deleting targeting packages, as well as viewing, canceling, and adding associated plans for targeting packages.

Function introduction

1. XMP targeting packages can be created, edited, copied and used across accounts in XMP;
2. Supports viewing all advertising plans associated with targeting packages, and supports adding and editing across accounts.

(1) Create a new targeting package

1. Create on the asset page

When creating a targeting package on the asset page, there is not limit for ad accounts, or you can specify one or more ad accounts with the same subject. The created targeting package can be used by the XMP user.

• When the ad account is empty, it is a general targeting package, and “Custom Audience” cannot be selected

• If you specify one or more advertising accounts with the same subject, you can choose a custom audience package. If you select multiple same-subject advertising accounts, the selectable custom audience package is the union of multiple accounts

2.Save the targeting package on the ad creation page

During the ad creation process, you can save the set targeting content as a targeting package. After successful creation, the targeting package will be directly associated with the published plan, which is convenient for ad management.

(2) Edit, copy and delete targeting packages

1.Edit the targeting package

Click the Edit button in the operation column to enter the targeting package editing interface.

After modifying the targeting package, click Save at the bottom of the page. Modifying the targeting package will modify the targeting of the associated plan by default. If you do not want to modify the associated plan, you can click “Disassociate” or “Disassociate in batches” before saving.
If modifications are made to the associated plan, the task status and results can be viewed in the task center.

2.Copy the targeting package

Click the Copy button in the operation column to enter the targeting package copy interface, XMP will automatically fill in all the information of the original targeted package. The contents of the orientation package can be adjusted and saved as required.

3.Delete the targeting package

Click the “Delete” button in the operation column, if the orientation package has an associated plan, it will be automatically disassociated, and the orientation of the original plan will not be affected.

(3) View, cancel, and add associated plans

1.View / release the targeting package association plan

Click the number in the column of the associated plan on the page to view the advertising plan associated with the corresponding targeting package

In the pop-up window for viewing association plans, you can choose to disassociate plans individually or in batches

2.Add an affiliate program

Click Add Associated Plan in the Action column on the page, and only the list of plans that can be associated will be displayed in the pop-up window. For example, plans that do not meet the system, download method, and delivery scope will be automatically filtered.

Tips:When adding an associated plan, it supports cross-account, and can associate plans of all accounts under the same subject.
